Yo-Yo Ma Newark Concert reviews
Love the PBR but buy good seats
"Wow, what a disappointment at the final go round on Feb. 28th at Scott Trade Center in St. Louis. We love the PBR, and it was our first live event. We had mezzanine seats row A, but had to use binoculars to see anything, with a huge cable hanging from the ceiling that was in the way. Another disappointment was they didn't put the name of the rider up sometimes until they were out of the shoot. By that time, they had fallen off and the ride was over. Unless we win the lottery, we will just watch the PBR on Versus from now on. We bought a $6.00 cup of lemonade and were told we get free refills. At intermission, when I went to get a refill, they had closed the concession stand. Talk about a rip off! Shame on you, Scott Trade Center."
Started 11 pm, standing for 2.5 hours TUES evening
"It is very disrespectful and grossly rude to your dedicated fans to start at 11 pm and have your fans SIT in general admission for 2.5 hours on a Tuesday evening, in a gym. My friends, adults, had to leave just 15 minutes after you started because she had a meeting early in the morning.
We want to see you but we work full time and can't wait around until midnight. Don't treat your fans this way. You are an adult, act like it. Start your show no later than 930 or stretching 10 pm on a weekday. I don't care how talented you are if you show this disrespect. I hear it is not a one-off and is a trend, as well. You can change, Yo-Yo Ma, do it."
I'm a Fanilow now!
I treated a good friend to this Show in Vegas for a weekend. My friend was beyond excited at the idea of seeing Mr. Yo-Yo Ma live. Growing up, I wasn't a huge fan of his. I had no big expectations, but I was truly impressed! The flawless voice of Mr. Yo-Yo Ma was the highlight. The band and backup singers/dancers were fantastic, and the entertainment value exceeded the ticket price. Each moment was enjoyable, with everything perfectly executed. The incredible and memorable finale left a lasting impression. Throughout the performance, my date was beside herself. I now understand why she was so thrilled to attend this show. The best compliment I can give is that I would gladly see him again!
